SUSTAINABILITY

Overview

At South Bow, sustainability is about long-term business resilience. Our approach is grounded in strong governance, disciplined risk management, safe and reliable operations, proactive asset integrity, environmental stewardship, and building strong relationships across our operational footprint.

These priorities are integrated into how we operate our business, manage risk and make decisions. They reflect the issues most relevant to South Bow, including regulatory requirements, corporate strategy, enterprise risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

We are committed to operating responsibly, managing the potential impacts of our operations and building and maintaining long-term relationships with Indigenous Peoples and Tribal Nations, communities, landowners, organizations, employees and other stakeholders.

Our sustainability priorities

Our approach to sustainability is focused on five key areas:

Governance and ethics

Maintain high standards of corporate governance to appropriately manage risk and adhere to regulatory requirements.

Safe operations

Operate safely and integrate safety into every decision and action. We equip our people with the training, technology and tools needed to support occupational and process safety.

Asset integrity

Maintain a proactive, risk-based asset integrity program that identifies, assesses and mitigates potential threats to support the safe and reliable operation of our assets.

Air quality and emissions

Support environmental stewardship through the management of air emissions and other potential operational impacts.

Stakeholder and community relations

Establish, build and maintain long-term relationships with Indigenous Peoples and Tribal Nations, communities, landowners, organizations, employees and other stakeholders affected by our operational footprint.
